Rodolfo Avila joins to TOM's Asia (MAR 21, 2005)

Macanese star Rodolfo Avila will take his place on the Asian Formula Three Series grid in 2005 after being named as one of the two Toyota Team Tom's Asia drivers for the new season. Seventeen year old Rodolfo Avila, who drove for ART Motorsports Ltd in the 2004 Asia Formula Renault Challenge, will drive the team’s Dallara F302/304 TOM’S Toyota.

"This is a brand new championship for me. I'm very happy to be contesting the F3 Championship against such a strong field of competitors, even better than Formula Renault 2000. They have more experience and F3 knowledge than me but I don't fear them. I'll do my best", affirms the Asian Formula Renault 2003 champion and recently honoured by Macau Special Administrative Region Government Rodolfo Avila is pleased to have signed for Tom's Asia as they have such a successful history and a strong engineering reputation in F3.

"I am confident because I have a very good seat for the championship. The team’s dedication to provide me the best performance from the car is fantastic. Unfortunately, I don't know very well two of the season's tracks but I am expecting to be on the top-five", says the driver sponsored by Macau Government, Hotel Fortuna, Macau-Slot.com, 4th East Asian Games 2005, CESL-Asia, Sands Macau, Tong Lei, BNU, CTM, ProFabril Asia Consult, Gain Well Group, San Chong Hong, RP Macau e PT Asia.

2005 Rodolfo Avila‘s season will not be completed with the Asian Formula Three Series as he is going to race in 52nd Macau Grand Prix as well the second race of “Far East Tour”, to be announced. (www.rodolfoavila.com)
