SBK RACE 1 (REDUCED TO 8 LAPS FROM 16 DUE TO RAIN)

• 1. Neil Hodgson, Ducati *** first race win ***
  "The most horrendous conditions ... It's literally like riding over ice. It's like a new experience riding around. I've ridden in the wet many times, but not on a track like that."
• 2. Mat Mladin, Suzuki GSX-R1000
  "It was a good race, second place points we'll take that today"
• 3. Josh Hayes, Kawasaki ZX-10RR *** first podium ***
  "It's mind boggling how bad it is," Hayes said. "Some sections of the track were pretty good, other sections weren't. There at the end, you couldn't even see the racetrack."
