PRE SEASON VIEW:
- MAT MLADIN
(SUZUKI), 5 times champion:
"(Daytona test) The new Suzuki GSX-R1000 was very good and was
quick through the speed trap there, so it's all shaping up very nicely
in that regard at present. We were quickest at the end of each day,
which is always good. As with any of these tests where you are preparing
a new bike there are lots of things to work through and so far so good."
- NEIL HODGSON
(DUCATI) , 2003 world superbike champion: ".... Things
are going very well at the moment. I was able to test three times -
two in the States --this off-season and everything has been very promising.
I like the way the Ducati 999 is handling and making power. I'm looking
forward to racing in America against some very tough competition this
year."
- ERIC BOSTROM
(DUCATI): "... I'd love to win this race for Ducati and
myself. I won pole last year and ran strong in the race, so we know
it's possible. The weather wasn't too kind to us at our last test and
we could have used every possible lap. The shoulder feels strong and
I'm looking forward to getting more time on the bike"
- MARTY CRAGGILL
(SUZUKI):
"I am grateful for the opportunity to race in the United States
for the 2005 season. To be associated with Mat Mladin Motorsports for
the up coming season has really given me a boost, and I'm excited to
be racing the new for 2005, Suzuki GSX-R1000."
