RICHARDS WINS 7th TITLE

  • Reigning champion Jim Richards driving Porsche 911 Turbo has led every leg and won his 7th Targa Tasmania. He has been closely followed by Porsche of Rex Broadbent or Tony Quinn. Nissan Skyline's Steve Glenney moved up to 2nd by end of the penultimate stage (Leg 4, Saturday).
  • Peter Brock was 2nd after Leg 2 but ran out of fuel the next day which dropped him out of contention. He finished 6th overall.
