F3000 TO BECOME
FGP2 IN 2005
- International Formula
3000 will undergo name change in 2005. It will become Formula GP2 to
more closely align the series to Formula 1.
- F3000 (Bruno Michel):
" .... we will have a car that is going to be as close as possible
to Formula 1 in terms of engine, chassis and tyres .... This new series
will be the last step before Formula One ... costs will be kept low
to make it successful .... Formula 3000 is suffering because the costs
are too high .."
