2006 V8 SUPERCAR: NEW ZEALAND  

• SKAIFE MATCHES BROCK: Mark Skaife's first ever round win in New Zealand. This brings his number of wins in touring car championships to record 37 equalling Peter Brock.
• INGALL BACK ON TOP: Reigning V8 Supercar champion Russell Ingall takes over the overall championship standing after top 6 finish in all 3 races.
• REVERSE GRID: Chaos caused by reverse grid start for Race 2 led to 8 retirements including a major crash for John Bowe. Garth Tander won ahead of Kiwi Jason Richards. This is the first time the reverse grid format has been used in 4 years.
