RACE RESULT:

• CHAMPIONSHIP LEADER, R INGALL: “We got the job done in the first race today and Marcos had dramas so that extended our points lead to something like 94. All I had to do in the third race was have a reasonable result and we would have been in a very good position. Things could have certainly finished better for us today, but we still have a 68 point lead with two rounds remaining. We just need to ensure we keep our minds on the job and get the best results possible. I have won at both Symmons Plains and Phillip Island before, so it’s not as though I don’t know my way around the places.”
• AMBROSE, 2ND IN STANDING: “The day started as a bit of disaster when I hit the wall while trying to get past (Paul) Morris in the opening race. My rear wing was basically pointing straight up and that can never be a good thing. I was starting towards the back again and Russell towards the front in the third race so things did not look that great. Then he (Ingall) had his drama and all of a sudden we had a sniff again. It was a pretty weird weekend all round and it would be nice to have a bit of sanity in the last couple of events.”
