"Dear All,
If I could draw your attention to a recent experience I had with a caravan park owner **** of Castlerock Holiday Park in Coleraine Northern Ireland.
I purchased a 3 bedroom static caravan from Castlerock Holiday Park in July 2004 for UK£18,000 and when selling back to Castlerock Holiday Park was offered £9000. In three years (August 2007) the value had depreciated by half, in the owner’s opinion. Having discussed options at the time I was unable to sell to another family member as it was against Castlerock Holiday Park policy, of which I was never aware of.
The owner is advertising to sell the caravan for UK£16,500 which as I'm sure most would agree is completely unacceptable.
I would welcome any advice, but again, everyone is only too well aware that caravan owners are very much a law unto themselves as to how they treat their customers.
Regards, Brendan Magill, Northern Ireland"
