| I’M TOO SCARED TO DRIVE THE **** THING. HELP! |
"Hi,
I have a 2004 Kia Carnival, 127kms, bought 2nd hand in 2007 with 85kms. It has been great till Thursday. Jumped in car to take kids to school, notice low power, shaking while driving, shaking while braking... I knew it was all over.
Took it to the mechanic that afternoon and he confirmed it has a faulty cooling system and suspects it may have already had existing problems, which I had hoped my RACQ inspection would have picked up but obviously didn’t. Hubby’s friend’s dad a mechanic told us back then not to buy a Kia that they were no good.
It still drives for now, I’m hoping I can drive it from the mechanics to a dealer and trade it in although I loved the interior space. I have to say it makes me sick to even think how the **** to afford another car for us + 4 kids. Anyone heard of 2nd owners getting engines replaced by Kia? I will give it a go if it’s going to save me $7k we don’t have. I’m too scared to drive the **** thing. Help!"
