| "Hello there I have Kia Rio 02 same thing happened to me. Kia warranty did not do anything. I had to remove cylinder head from engine, found 8 valves broken and 2 bent. All 4 pistons damaged so am taking them to the machine shop to save it and install new valves. I had to order 4 pistons all that I have to pay for it from my own pocket so I am looking about to spend between 500 to 700 dollars. What can we do this is a listen to all of us Kia warranty will not back you up. My car has only 79000 miles. Good luck with everybody."

"KIA RIO 1999: ENGINE SEIZED WITH 77,000 MILES - Kia would not stand behind warranty. Went through dealer and district. Engine seized with no warning. Offer of an engine at more than car value to put it in. 100,000 mile is not good warranty if they do not stand behind it. Customer service is a joke too."
