*FEEDBACK WANTED*

I NEED A SAFE RELIABLE CAR TO DRIVE MY DAUGHTERS AROUND IN.

"Hi

I have 2003 Nissan Pulsar, manual, 4 door hatch. My problem is when I slow down in gears my car will just conk out (No it’s not my gear changing). When my A/C is turned on which keeps the revs up it doesn’t seem to do this. I have had it at the mechanics and he can’t seem to find what’s wrong with it. He has checked the computer and its is saying there is nothing wrong. Has any one had this problem as well and/or does anyone have any suggestions as to what could be the problem? Please, I need a safe reliable car to drive my daughters around in."

Regarding slow running and stalling at idle speed of Nissan Pulsar 2003. My wife and I own exactly the same model and have experienced the same issue. It would start OK then as the engine warmed up completely, the idle speed would drop below 500 rpm and then start to vibrate. The activation of the airconditiner kept it running through this difficult period.

I researched via the RAA of SA and they have knowledged faulty crank angle sensors on this model. They suggested firstly to administer a premium tank of fuel and injection cleaner and take the car on a highway run for a few hours if practical before yielding to the Nissan dealership for repairs, which we undertook and "presto" it appears to have righted it self. Had it not, we would have gone with the sensor replacement. I hope this is of help to you.

Regards
