THERE ARE SUCH THINGS AS LEMONS. I JUST THINK YOU SHOULD HEAR MY STORY.
"Guys
There are such things as lemons. I just think you should hear my story.
I live and work in Queensland country so all the driving I do is hard bull dust corrugated roads etc. I bought my new Navara in April this year. I have just clocked 18000kms on some of the worst roads in Australia and I haven't had a problem with any thing.
A friend on mine owns and operates 7 tilt trays on and off road and yes there has been a couple of Navaras needing a tow but only due to underbody damage from ground clearance. My local dealer I can't praise enough good service and friendly, will do anything to help you.
I also own a 2005 Patrol wagon. My wife’s car 75000km dragging camper trailer up and down the beach and off road so I do believe that maybe you try another dealer it sounds like the dealer may be the problem.
Anyway best of luck."

========== REPLY ========== I like the last story about the D40. I have one too and will buy another. 2 year old today 92000 k's 9.6 liters/100km, week in week out. Diesel, original tyres need new ones soon and I do all my own servicing and have had not one problem. POSTED BY: MICK - BRENDALE, QLD - AUS 6 JUL 2009
