CAN’T BELIEVE THERE ARE SO MANY DISGRUNTLED ASTRA OWNERS OUT THERE
"Can’t believe there are so many disgruntled Astra owners out there. If you don’t like these cars then get rid of it (or build a bridge then get over it). You got to treat Astras like they are meant to be driven, don’t be afraid to wind them out through gears. 5500 rpm through gear from time to time won’t hurt. Stop driving and fussing like pussies.

All cars have their problems, regardless of make. Mate of mine has 3 Astras in his family from 2000 to last of TS model 2004? I think. All of them have not missed a beat like mine.

Couldn't agree more Greggy, all a load of **** about them being unreliable and so forth. Me and the missus have had ours since new and now on 91,000km and 4 1/2 years later still no trouble at all. Keep your Toyota's and your Mazda's people, I am never buying Japanese ****.

Our 1999 TS was a great little car until it was a 6 years old and then the bills started to come in. E.g. water pump, A/C, stalling, new timing belt at 65000kms. But you must know what to look out for and have it fixed before eats your wallet (e.g. timing belt and water pump).
