| "Hi guys I have AU Falcon which rattles on take off when first started. I live on very steep hill and when engine is under strain rattle is quite noisy. Seems to go when engine is warm not sure if timing or something else. Motor has done 270,000km, any advice would be great cheers David."

Hi David.
Is the noise coming from the front of the motor? Possible timing chain / tensioner / broken rail.
Is the oil level correct? Too high will cause crank slap on steep hills.
Is the noise from the rear of the motor? Possible catalytic converter broken up/ Auto? Possibly loose converter bolt/ bolts.
