| FORD FALCON RTV 2004: RE: ONLY DONE 70000KMS FRONT-END & DIFF ARE WORN OUT *CONSUMER REVIEW* |
||
ISSUE: |
I have a BF RTV ute and it just clocked up 30,000 since July last year and will be clocking up quite a few more kms in the next few months. All I can say about them is what a great ute. I do some fairly serious off road work with it and am quite confident in taking it anywhere that a "real" 4WD will go in high range. The only problems I have had with it are a broken fuel tank breather, complete tank replaced under warranty, and a dud front right shock, to be replaced in the next week or so. For what I do the standard tyres are ****, but have replaced them with Bridgestone desert duellers and the the ute was transformed for off road performance. I would recommend an RTV to anyone who needs to go on unsealed roads or the odd off road journey and doesn't need a full time 4WD. The ute performed faultlessly in 3 trips down the Gibb River Road in three days, and not even a puncture. |

========== ORIGINAL POSTING ========== RE: ONLY DONE 70000KMS FRONT-END & DIFF ARE WORN OUT "2004 FORD BA RTV one tonner straight gas: Where do I start! I purchased the vehicle brand new in April 2004. Firstly I have run out of gas twice because of a faulty gas gauge and had to be towed into town from the middle of nowhere. The main concern I have had is not being able to see out of the vehicle. I took it back to the salesman and complained about the problem and all he did was laugh and said no one else has complained. (So I learnt to live with it!). But now I have noises in the front and back end and it wasn't until I took it back for end of warranty inspection that I found out that the diff and front-end components are completely worn out. The shape of the cab is dangerous to passengers and I continually hit our heads on the inside of cab because of its contouring or sloping shape of the sides of the cab. The pillar where the seatbelt is fastened. Being a tall person I find it difficult seeing through the windscreen because the cab is too short in the cab height. I'm basically looking through the top of sun visor. I have learnt to adjust to this by slouching in the seat. Being a tradesman and using my vehicle all the time I have had a bad back from the position I'm sitting in. This model, one tonner should have had a lot more thought put into cab design shape. I would not recommend one of these to a larger person and would never buy another one like it. In all the main problems that have plagued me are front brake shudder, noisy idler pulley bearing, gas gauge, front end ball joints clunking, diff noisy & clunking, gas backfiring & not starting, electric window problems. Regards, M Nash. " |

========== REPLY ========== "To fix this problem,just tap the top of the key lightly then turn the key with both hands. You will then feel the key turn. This problem occurs on very hot days due to plastic part down in the barrel melting and locking the barrel. " POSTED BY: RON HANSON - PERTH, WA 2/04/2007 ========== REPLY ========== ""The problem could be a worn out ignition barrel. Will need replacement however you can get yourself out of trouble by using a feeler gauge strip about 12 to 15 thou or around .3mm You need to remove the plastic surround that fits around the barrel. The centre of the barrel will be protruding out. Push the feeler strip into the small gap at the bottom of the central barrel and a pin will appear where the key slots in. Now apply pressure onto the central barrel with one of your fingers of your right hand and whilst hold this pressure pull out the feeler strip. And if sucessful the barrel should move inward. Keep pressure on with finger then insert key then turn to start. You may have to try it a few times to get it right." POSTED BY: NEIL ROBERTSON - PERTH , WA 2/04/2007 |

| FORD FPV TYPHOON F6 2006: WHO IS THE GENERAL MANAGER OF FORDS AUSTRALIA? *FEEDBACK WANTED* |
||
ISSUE: |
We bought a brand new Typhoon 6 months ago and it has been nothing but trouble. Ford can't find anything wrong with it and have come up with inferior petrol. Apparently our car is being contaminated with dirty petrol. This, Ford say is the reason we can be travelling along on the motorway at 110km/h and the car suddenly comes to a halt nearly killing us and the people in cars around us. It has been in to Fords to have it checked on numerous occasions and nothing is ever found. |

========== REPLY ========== Try another dealer, there is a couple of different areas in the vehicle that can cause an issue of this nature and nearly all will log a memory fault code. I stress "nearly all". Also if this is an issue that is say not related to an engine management concern the dealer would need to experience the concern before any manual diagnosis can be carried out, and remember the techs working on your vehicle are human too. They cannot make miracles. Remember to give the dealer all information when taking vehicle in, i.e. how long the vehicle has been driven for the trip, was it hot or cold, speed traveling, gear selection, cruise on or off, any warning lights come on, has the vehicle been driven previously in the day, any other accessories on i.e. a/c, wipers, lights, last time filled with fuel and location, does the vehicle restart straight away and so on. The more info given gives the tech more of an idea on what could be happening and where to start the diagnosis. POSTED BY JOE - MELBOURNE, VIC 8/4/2007 ========== REPLY ========== Hi, I have a similar problem with a BF Wagon on straight gas. This 6 month old vehicle cuts out at high and low speed and Sunshine Ford in Ashmore are not the people you should deal with. They don't want your problems. Ring tech hotline, register your complaint and ask for another new car as I have and to date had no luck. At some point the vehicles malfunction will cause a major accident and it may be one of us unfortunately that it will happen to. I feel safer walking on the freeway than driving in a Ford. Good luck and safe motoring POSTED BY TERRY FINN - GOLD COAST, QLD 19/4/2007 ========== REPLY ========== In answer to your question there is NO general manager of Ford Australia. Or if there is, he or she is so cleverly surrounded by a bunch of stooges who will string you along until your warranty expires. Do as I have done: take your complaint to your equivalent of the Department of Fair Trading, together with your records of every excuse you have been offered. On the grounds that the vehicle is of unmerchantable quality you are entitled to a refund, replacement or repair at your choice. POSTED BY: MOSES MURPHY - SYDNEY, NSW, 2/05/2007 ========== REPLY ========== What about Tom Gorman - Ford Australia President, he is the top Dog, but I would suggest he is surrounded by the palm off people and very hard to get in touch with. | PRESS-RELEASE AAA 2007: AAA WELCOMES GOVERNMENT CALL FOR PETROL PRICE MONITORING *PRESS RELEASE* |
||
ISSUE: |
The Australian Automobile Association today welcomed moves by the Federal Government to monitor petrol price movements running into and during the Easter Holiday long weekend. AAA Executive Director, Mike Harris, said the move by Treasurer Peter Costello in directing the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission to monitor the oil companies' petrol pricing movements over the holiday period was in the interests of all Australian motorists and their families. "AAA has been highlighting the discrepancies between the world price for crude oil and Australia's domestic petrol prices for some time now - calling for greater monitoring and reporting of these prices movements by the ACCC," Mr Harris said. "Indeed, AAA has only recently written to the ACCC and the four major oil companies advising of our concerns and putting them on notice about petrol price rises which do not reflect these international prices for crude oil. "We welcome the Treasurer's call for greater ACCC scrutiny and look forward to a more active involvement of the Commission in overseeing these price movements and advising the community." The AAA represents Australia's motoring Clubs with a membership of more than 6 million Australian motorists. |

Start the engine, take off no problem. It's now approx 95,000k's. This morning, SAME THING! | FORD FALCON RTV 2004: WELL MY ADVICE IS GO AND GET INDEPENDENT ADVICE *CONSUMER FEEDBACK* |
||
ISSUE: |
Well my advice is go and get independent advice. What could be the problem is the center, the diff is weaker than the previous models. Go and get an older model Ford diff center but I don't know if it will work on the RTV because of the height but that is my advice. When I buy my new Falcon this year the first thing I will be doing is changing the diff center. Well that is what I been told to do any way. I'm still deciding if I want a ute or a sedan but I will figure that one out? Good luck - wouldn't buy a Jap car, too expensive for parts and labour. |

I recently purchased my XR6 Turbo second hand from Adtrans on Daws/South Rd corner in Adelaide. The car ran hot so I took it back to the dealer and was told there was trans fluid in the coolant. They said the Ford warranty would cover this and the trans needed replacing as did the radiator. |

========== REPLY ========== I have a 2003 BA Falcon Futura and I just noticed the coolant had turned an orange colour and foamy looking - so I took it to Ford thinking that it may just need the coolant flushed out but they said that it is a fault that is very rare where the coolant can get into the Auto Transmission and vice versa and do a lot of damage. They said it is not the way I drove it but a rare fault of that vehicle. They said it would cost about $4000 and 5 days off the road to fix as they have to replace the radiator and remove the auto and replace various parts etc. The car has only done 85000 kl and is 14 months out of warranty and so it is all at my cost. I am very angry about this as obviously it is a design fault where the auto trans. fluid and the coolant can cross-over to each other (how crazy is that!). I won't be buying another Ford even though I feel the BA is a great car to drive. The resale values are also terrible on the BA. POSTED BY R N - CANBERRA ACT 7/4/2007 ========== REPLY ========== Rather belated but have been searching for remote FOB for a Holden key when I saw your post ref the mixing of trans oil with coolant. There is a common problem that I have had to fix in my new Vectra before it cuts out this vehicle. Aluminium radiators are notorious for Antifreeze coolant "electroplating" problems that can transfer copper onto the inside of radiator tubes and corrode them out within a week (or more if you're lucky). Fix 1: Replace the cooling part of the radiator with an adequate size coolant radiator in front of the air-con radiator. Ensure all parts are adequately mounted and feed your oil into this unit after a full flush of the system for good measure (the flush is expensive but best done with an analyser to show when the oil is clean. Flushed oil is collected as waste) . Fix 2: Find a good anticorrosive coolant and if you can’t use this exclusively due to freezing temps then your antifreeze Must be tested to ensure it has/is not going acidic. (use Castrol Coolant Test Strips - Jar of 50). Fix 3: Glycol based coolant (if you use it) is best discarded to recyclers after no more than 12 months - pressure flushed and refilled. This stuff drops solids into the base of the radiator anyway (and the block) and eventually causes overheating - even if it is changed you can’t get the solid junge all out without pressure flushing. There's more to coolant than meets the eye - usually the pitfalls cost dearly. There are 9 causes of coolant corrosion so the problem is not as simple as "just use rainwater" like my old man used to back in the 50's. Ha Ha - that's given the age away! A lot of new vehicles will have this problem, so be aware it is not just one manufacturer who has this happen. Regards and happier motoring - Rich POSTED BY: RICH WISHART - BASSENDEAN, WA 12/7/2008 |

========== REPLY ========== Hi, about two weeks ago my 2000 Jackaroo missed going into gear twice on the one day. It was due for its 1300000k service so I took it to Motorama and advised of the problem. They could find nothing wrong. It has happened twice since and I have taken it to a transmission specialist, but he also could find nothing wrong. He also said that he had never heard of a similar intermittent fault. He said that when a car has a problem changing gear the problem will show up all the time. The peculiar thing is that it is exactly the same street and place that it happened all 4 times. Despite driving many K's in other areas during this period. It happens after going down a steep hill (usually with my foot just touching the break to keep the speed down), then when you accelerate to go up the next hill, it does not go into gear. For me, it happens when my speedo is not working. I have taken it to 2 mechanics and an auto electrician who says my speedo is fine, because it happens to be working when they are looking at it. Have you heard anymore about your problem as I am getting nowhere with mine. POSTED BY: KATE CLAYTON - MUDGEE, NSW 7/7/2008 ========== REPLY ========== Hi, I owned a 93 petrol Jackaroo. I had problems with the car losing all power etc and eventually it was diagnosed (incorrectly I believe) as the gear box around the same time I lost the speedo. The gear box was totally replaced (at approx 230k) and then the problem was intermittent. We were then told that the speed sensor was damaged faulty or broken as the speedo didn't work and it coincided with the engine problems as the car was electronic and required the speed sensor etc. After replacing this and still having problems we took the car to an specialist and it was diagnosed as the speedo being damaged (some of the circuits) and we replaced it and then had no problems. Thought it might help in some way with your problem. POSTED BY: ELLE - BRISBANE, QLD 12/7/2008 |

If you get in the car, hold the door switch as if the door is closed, switch the ignition key to on without staring the engine, then operate the door switch 10 times (I think it needs to be at least 7 times) while the airbag light is on solid (first 7 seconds), it should clear the memory. If not you may have a fault in the SRS. Good luck. Graham POSTED BY: GRAHAM - PERTH, WA 29/3/2007 ========== REPLY ========== 2002 GUIII Patrol 4.8TI - I too had a problem with the airbag light staying on (flashing a fault). The car has been in and out of the dealer for over 3 years now, and they have replaced the RHS seat air bag twice, the remote airbag sensor, the main airbag computer, the RHS airbag... to no avail. They also tried to blame the pioneer DVD player fitted, and the electric brakes unit. But both of these devices were fitted at least a year before the problem started. I kept telling them it was a wiring problem! The vehicle had extended factory 5 year warranty, but is now out of warranty - but I have kept hassling them as they can't fix the problem. Last week they finally relented and fitted a new main vehicle wiring harness (dash out, etc to fit it!), after having to get one made in Japan (no longer a stocked part). The problem is now fixed. The airbag light is off, and works properly. Thanks only to perseverance but they did fix it out of warranty (technically). I reckon if they had of replaced the main wiring harness initially, it would have saved us both a hassle, and saved them a lot of unnecessary parts replaced. POSTED BY: PETER VOHRADSKY - WOLLONGONG, NSW 4/5/2008 ========== REPLY ========== Update. The light has come back on indicating a fault! This time, the fault codes are different, indicating a need to replace both the LHS airbag and the trigger unit. Thankfully, Lennock Motors have agreed to replace this under warranty, and so my fingers are crossed that the problem does not re-occur. The dealer is also hopeful. We have agreed that if the light does not come on again indicating a fault within 6 months, we will call it 'fixed'. POSTED BY: PETER VOHRADSKY - WOLLONGONG, NSW 22/7/2008 |

========== REPLY ========== I have heard of stories with the Focus and I don't think that Ford and Holden can make small cars - the Astra, Barina and Vectra are just as bad. Your best bet with small cars is Toyota, Mazda or Subaru in other words anything Jap not Korean. POSTED BY: JOHN MELBOURNE - MELBOURNE , VIC 6/04/2007 ========== REPLY ========== Yep, had a bit of trouble with my 04 SR. - Crook valve stems on the mags. 2 split making the tyres deflate on freeways. Split was opposite sense to if they had been hit by sticks. Ford wouldn't honour fault. |

RE: HOLDEN CREWMAN VY 5.7 2003: DRIVETRAIN VIBRATION AND DIFF NOISE (see below) Have a VY Crewman S auto new in July 2004. I am onto 4th diff now @ 108000kms. Diff noise on first one came in around 15-20k. Waited many months for 2nd one & didn't even get to pass the road test so no. 3 was ordered. It took nearly 6 months to get that one as Holdens were having so much trouble with diffs there were no spares available. Number 4 is still going ok touch wood. I would insist on a new diff and see how it goes. I had no trouble with Holdens diagnosis it was just getting the diffs, and I believe the problems are still ongoing. Also had heaps of trouble with front struts clunking when going into driveways and rear spring packs squeaking. Other than that I would go for another one as it is so handy, handles well and tows a 171/2 foot caravan like you forget it is there most of the time. Push for a new diff and yes there is very light backlash in mine as well only noticeable when in steady traffic. Regards Rob |

========== ORIGINAL POSTING ========== "VY11 5.7ltr Crewman, pulsing vibration very noticeable on normal take off till about 25km/hr then slowly blends out (but still there). Feels like there is a lump in the tyres or a faulty harmonic balancer, or a severe tail shaft balance problem, I'm putting my money it diff problems. Car has done 35K. Left hand rear brake pad rubs while turning left. Diff wind noticeable at about 50km/hr and gets louder and louder the faster the car goes. It's very embarrassing having people in it. I'd hate 2 do an interstate trip. Will drive me crazy. I've rang 3 well known diff specialists and their comments were (there should be NO NOISE at all). Holden dealer says it needs the "new improved" bushes placed into the leaf springs. They stated that's all Holdens will supply and a new diff will require a full report. I'm 100% sure this will not fix the problem. Booked in on Friday for bushes. Problems seem to be getting worse each day. Had a VX Berlina V6 previously and I miss it! Smoothest ride I've ever had. The stress is actually getting to me. The problem is always on my mind, and I don't get that good feeling I should be having when I drive it. At worst, I will get the diff reconditioned myself for about $1300 and put a better gear ratio in it at the same time. These things weigh almost 2 tonne! I'm convinced the DANA is a good diff however I would put the faults down to quality in workmanship in the assembly line and possibly cheap axle bearings. If you get your diff redone, pay a little extra and put in some Timken ones. If anyone has the exact thing and has fixed the problem, please advise. If it works for me, I'll ship you a bottle of Johnny black. You have my word! " |

ISSUE: |
RE: HOLDEN ASTRA - Keep an eye on these things... Hi, regarding the turn your AC off when turning the car on and off, that is a myth that was common on old cars. By doing this in new cars the only thing you are doing is wearing out the switch. The AC compressor doesn't cut in when you turn the ignition on. It will cut in a few seconds after the car is started. Hence no load on your starter, old cars where different but for most cars built from the early 90's on, it is a waste of time. So don't wear out your AC switch, they usually cost a fortune ... And yes I know what I am talking about, I am a mechanic by trade and yes it was at Holden. |

| FORD FALCON XH UTE 1998: ENGINE WON'T START *FEEDBACK WANTED* |
||
ISSUE: |
Last night my ute was parked and locked outside the house. The horn began to sound so I put the key in to the ignition and started the engine. The horn stopped sounding so I stopped the engine and locked her up. This morning the starter motor will not actuate. Battery voltage is 12.4V and the lights work etc. All the usual things happen when the key goes to the ON position but when moved to START ... nothing. My question: Is it possible that the immobiliser has something to do with this fault? |

========== REPLY ========== Hi, had the same problem with my EL Ford. Turned out to be a module under the dash. If I can recall it was called a BMI Module. It was a while ago. Very expensive to fix, however you can bypass this module and still retain the immoboliser. Had it done by an auto electrician for under a $100. Never had a problem after that. This maybe the problem, I am not really sure. Can only go on my past experience. Cheers I cleaned the battery terminals first and re-tightened them but that did not help. I replaced the car battery and straight away everything came good. The battery had died with none of the usual advanced warnings - sluggish starts, dim lights etc. I suspected the battery (as the alarm siren had been coming on and off for no reason for about three weeks everytime I tried to start the car). I confirmed that it was the battery by replacing it with one from the other car. It worked. I then purchased a new battery. Hope this helps. |

ISSUE: |
I have had my diff replaced at approx 40,000 km after a lot of complaints about back lash. They replaced the clutch slave cylinder earlier and that didn't help and it wasn't till I got the owner of the dealership to drive it that they said there was a problem. Anyone who knows where I can get tailgate seals that seal the whole tailgate please feel free to contact me. Also a heavier set of front springs as I have had mine replaced under warranty once but they're sagging again probably due to the fact I have got a 5 poster alloy bar and side rails with steps on it. My email is uteman27@hotmail.com.au if u wish to get in touch. |

I totally agree with their point of view having purchased a Thailand sourced Honda Accord. The car has been a disappointment from day one. The fit and finish is pathetic. The selling dealer informed me the faults were acceptable - end of story and go away. |

========== ORIGINAL POSTING ========== CAR-BUYING-SELLING ADVICE: AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN "I am sorry to say that after 30 years in auto service & repair industry manufacturers have a lot to answer for. I have seen many people save their hard earned dollars to purchase new vehicles from our major manufacturers then when "common problems" occur i.e. Holden Astra/Vectra, re-badged Daewoos A/C, clutch problems are very common, not brought on by not having your re-badged Daewoo serviced by your local Holden dealer. All I can say to people looking to buy quality small cars, stick with Toyota i.e. Yaris, Corolla, Mitsubishi Lancer. Also before purchasing any vehicle do yourself a favour by doing a spare parts price check on all manufacturers considered. Also on a final note ask your General Motors dealer how much to repair your re-badged Daewoos electric power steering pump when it fails outside warranty. PS. VW is not far behind in lack of quality. Good Luck & Happy Motoring. PPS ask the wheeler dealer to show you which country your new prospective vehicle was built. " POSTED BY: P S - MELBOURNE, VIC 23/03/2007 ========== REPLY ========== Hi there, I also bought my new July 2005 Honda Accord made in Thailand, when I lived in Gisbourne, Victoria 2 years ago. There must be two different Thailands as mine was perfect from day one. Nothing creaked rattled or groaned and it performed as a Honda is expected to perform. Everyone in my family and friends too, who saw it were impressed at the fit and finish! When I moved to Tasmania a few months ago, my brother asked to buy it and he has been having the same pleasure of ownership as I. I can't understand how one car on a production line can end up so different to another, especially as we are talking about HONDA factories which are state of the art regardless of the country in which Honda cars are made. The fact that there are such differences should be a wake up call to HONDA, as their cars were well renowned for virtually NO differences between the cars built on their production lines and thus quality was totally assured to the customer. POSTED BY W DEKMETZIAN – SANDY BAY, TAS 7/4/2007 ========== UPDATE ========== "Honda Accord V6L 2005 – Update. I first reported the disappointment of my vehicle in this forum in February 2006. The vehicle was purchased new in April 2005 from Southside Honda of Woolloongabba. Many of the faults reported then have only recently been rectified. One is still outstanding two and a half years after purchase. After requesting Southside Honda to rectify the faults with my vehicle for eighteen months I finally had enough. The staff at Southside Honda at the time had the attitude they were underwriting the warranty. The straw that broke the camels back was on the third service when I was informed that the faults with my vehicle were ‘acceptable’. As such, the attitude was: we will not fix them, end of story - go away. Fortunately for me they actually stated such on the invoice. I have not been back and will never take my vehicle back to Southside Honda for service. I decided to write to Honda Australia to voice my total disappointment with the car and the manner in which I had been treated by Southside Honda. I wrote directly to the CEO of Honda Australia and included all correspondence, photographs of every fault and modifications carried to my vehicle to make parts fit. The response from Honda Australia was rapid. A representative informed me to take my vehicle to Highway Honda in Springwood. I asked the representative why Honda had only responded after my letter and not after the two scathing surveys I submitted relating to the vehicle and Southside Honda in every category. Honda take note - outsourcing quality control does not work. Honda had my vehicle for seven working days. Honda Australia respectively provided me with a new Civic for the duration. Faults reported: - Misaligned and difficult to close LHF door – Fixed. - Bonnet protector damaged grill due to insufficient space between them. Honda fixed the problem by replacing the grill with one from the 06 Accord. The 06 grill is one centimetre lower – I wonder why? Honda could not adjust the bonnet protector to prevent it from damaging the original grill. - Closing the boot damaged the paint on the rear bumper – fixed - adjusted rear bumper and repainted damaged area. - The glove box is sagging in a clockwise direction – still working on it. - Body colour was visible through a gap in rear seat – fixed. Adjusted the seat and glued a piece of leather onto the body. - Trim located in the passenger transmission tunnel came off – fixed. Replaced modified parts and misaligned new parts to make panel fit. Note: factory settings would not work. The service provided by Highway Honda on that occasion and subsequent service has been excellent. The approachable staff at Highway Honda particularly the head mechanic talks to you as a valued customer. They even fixed a dint in the car at no cost. The most disappointing event occurred within an hour of handing the Civic back. A panel on the dash fell off. Reiterating my belief that Honda is living off its heritage. Since new, my vehicle has only travelling 24,000 Ks. Yet I had to have all four rotors machined due to brake shudder recently. Initially Honda would not cover the machining under warranty but relinquished after I informed them that I now no longer wanted the vehicle back. Furthermore, they replaced the front brake pads which I found to be extremely unusual considering the number of Ks travelled. A Honda representative slipped up by telling me the pads were replaced with 06 model speck pads. Why? You guessed it ... the 05 pads warp the rotors. So they know about it but want you to pay for the repair. If you own a 05 Accord and been through the same process ask the dealer which pads they put in and why. When it came to downsize my wife’s car the Jazz was not even considered. I purchased her a Made in Japan Mazda2. Faults to date – zero. Where does this leave me? Well I am waiting for the release of the next Mazda6 when Honda and I will part company for good. " POSTED BY: TED KROL - BRISBANE, QLD 19/07/2007 |

| FORD FALCON BA RTV 1 TONNER 2004: ONLY DONE 70000KMS FRONT-END & DIFF ARE WORN OUT *CONSUMER FEEDBACK* |
||
ISSUE: |
2004 FORD BA RTV one tonner straight gas: The main concern I have had is not being able to see out of the vehicle. |

========== REPLY ========== Hi there, I had one of these RTV utes (piece of junk), 3 Dana diffs, knocks and clunks from front end, had caliper shims replaced, clunks in the auto (should have had a new BTR box replaced - Ford said no!). Numerous rattles and squeaks in cab that Ford couldn't find! I bought it brand new had it for 10,000 klms was in 3 different Ford Dealerships went in on 14 occasions, off the road for about 5 weeks in total! Biggest lemon I have owned, that was my 5th and last Falcon! Never again. Andrew. POSTED BY ANDREW RALPH - SYDNEY, NSW 28/3/2007 ========== REPLY ========== BF with 8,000 klms had 3 diffs already and still makes noises.
