The 2005
Chrysler 300C, has taken top honours as media named it the North
American Car of the Year (NACOTY). Fifty of the top automotive
journalists in North America considered 17 new cars before casting
their winning votes for the 2005 Chrysler 300C.
"The
2005 Chrysler 300 marked the Chrysler brand’s return to
a rear-wheel-drive, HEMI®- powered automobile for the first
time in more than a decade. Chrysler has single-handedly reinvented
the large, V-8 powered American sedan," said Matt DeLorenzo,
Road & Track Magazine. "With its bold looks that are
uniquely American, growling HEMI power and enough attitude to
cut a rap record on its own, the Chrysler 300C is a bad boy
for hipsters and yet with its affordable sticker, V-6 optional
engines, appeals to traditional full-size American car buyers
– quite a feat to bring two disparate market segments
together with just one car."

Orders for 300C as Pre-Launch Marketing Kicks-In
April
6 2005
Chrysler
is embarking on the next phase in its successful pre-launch marketing
campaign for the bold-looking rear-wheel-drive, HEMI-powered 300C.
Hot
on the heels of its debut as V8 Supercar safety car last month,
the company this week launched a virtual tour website designed
to generate further awareness of the award-winning 300C ahead
of the car’s release in the final quarter of 2005.
Over
six hundred Australians have so far expressed interest in the
300C directly with Chrysler dealers, via the company’s website
or at motor shows and over twenty customers have already secured
their order with a deposit.
“After
Chrysler led the field in the opening round of the V8 Supercars
with the 300C, general customer interest in the car and web queries
both increased substantially,” said Gerry Jenkins, managing
director, Chrysler Jeep Australia.
“Over
six hundred people have so far expressed interest in the sensational
300C and to date we have secured over twenty deposits from customers
who want to be among the first to own the Chrysler that has single-handedly
reinvented the large, V8 powered American sedan.
“No
doubt, Chrysler’s leading role in the V8 Supercar series
will continue to generate exposure for the car throughout the
year.
Australians
will have the choice of two engines in the Chrysler 300C, the
5.7-litre HEMI V8, and a 3.5-litre high-output V6.
The
popularity of the Chrysler 300C in its home market (USA) has continued
unabated in March with a record sales month of 13,475 units. |
