KAWASAKI KLX450 2007 BIKE $11990 NEW KAWASAKI KLX450 ENDURO - FINANCE & INSURANCE AVAILABLE KM: ID: NEW KLX450 ENDURO KAWASAKI KLX450 ENDURO IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN a good while coming, but hard core Kawasaki off road fans can at last rejoice, for the KLX45OR, the bike that’s being dubbed the Incredible Hulk after the mighty green comic strip hero, is finally a reality ! Although dubbed a 2008 model, Kawasaki’s brand spanking new KLX45OR will actually go on sale here in Australia by the middle of 2007. And yes, it will be fully ADR compliant, ready to take aim on the hugely popular 450cc four stroke trail/enduro bike category. Based on the KX45OF motocrosser, the KLX boasts a liquid cooled 449cc four stroke engine with wide ratio five speed gearbox. Compared to the KX however, the KLX’s powerplant is specifically tuned for off road use, with revised cam timing, larger exhaust valves and increased fly wheel mass all helping to deliver much improved bottom end and mid range power. Of course, the icing on the cake in the engine room, is the inclusion of electric start ! In the chassis department, the KLX scores a twin spar aluminium frame constructed from forged, cast and extruded pieces, which is mated to Kawasaki AOS (Air-Oil-Separate) 48mm USD forks up front and a Uni-Trak single shock rear end. Wheel sizes are 21 inch front and 18 inch rear, allowing a full range of rear tyre size choices, while wave disc brake rotors are fitted at both ends. Detail fittings include Renthal bars and digital instrumentation on the flight deck, eight litre fuel cell, quick access side door airbox cover, aluminium skid plate and 0 ring chain. The retail price for Kawasaki’s thundering green thumper is yet to be set, however now’s the time to visit your local Kawasaki dealer to get more information, because Kawasaki’s SummerFest sales promotion is in full swing and Team Green dealers want to do deals!
