PRESS RELEASE: HONDA,
December 2004
SP2 BACK
IN BLACK FOR 2005
Fans of Honda's top performing,
double world superbike championship winning
machine - the VTR1000 SP-2 can look forward to a new colour release
for
2005.
Now available in Black with
Silver Metallic, the new SP-2 is sure to turn a
few heads.
Featuring an all new black-coloured
frame, swingarm and front fender, the
1000cc fuel injected fun-maker sports new silver wheels as well.
As a true race-works based
machine designed to win, the SP-2 is doubly
appealing as it also offers great riding feel and comfort on the road.
The new SP-2 doesn't require
the highest levels of riding skill to take
advantage of its excellent balance of performance. Its ride is exciting
and
aggressive, but not too narrowly focused, so it provides far greater
riding
satisfaction over the long run.
While the SP's external looks
haven't changed that much, its actual feeling
of rigidity and responsive control has been radically upgraded.
The SP-2's giant 43mm cartridge-type
inverted front forks provide superbly
responsive road and racetrack feel, as well as full adjustability to
match
virtually all riding and racing conditions. While offering reduced unsprung
weight, they also provide a comfortable and confident ride over a variable
range of road surfaces.
In fact, the new SP-2 feels
so good on a winding road that it makes up for
long hours of city traffic just getting to those roads to enjoy it.
The good news for those considering
the SP-2 is that the price will remain
the same for 2005.
